About Vicki
I spent a lot of years waiting for someday.
Turns out, someday is not a destination.
I thought someday would arrive when I had the right title, enough confidence, a little more certainty, or life finally went according to plan.
Spoiler alert: life had other ideas.
What I know now is that we don't have to wait for everything around us to fall into place before we trust ourselves, choose what's next, and actually enJOY the life we're living.

The Story
A recovering control freak with a thing or two to say about plans.
I've always been a planner. A list maker. A tell me where we're going and I'll figure out how to get us there kind of woman.
And then life taught me a lesson I apparently needed more than once: the plan is not in charge.
I've built a business and lost one. I've had plans fall apart and learned what it means to start again. Then I built a corporate career I was incredibly proud of. Led teams, developed leaders, sat at executive tables, and spent more than 25 years learning what helps people do their best work.
And then the story changed again.
My corporate career ended without me being part of the decision.
Suddenly there was no title telling me who I was. No organization chart. No perfectly mapped next step.
Just me.
And one really important question:
What do I want to create now?
That's the work underneath everything I do today. Helping women and leaders navigate changes with courage, confidence, compassion and a whole lot more JOY!
Learning to hear your own voice. Challenging the stories you've mistaken for truth. Trusting yourself when you can't see the whole path. And choosing to live now instead of waiting for someday.
I don't teach this because I've mastered having life figured out.
I teach it because I've lived what happens when it doesn't go according to plan.
And I've learned there can be a whole lot of JOY on the other side of that.
Philosophy
A few things I believe pretty strongly.
Leadership is an inside job.
How we lead others begins with how we lead ourselves.
The stories we tell ourselves matter.
Especially the ones we've repeated so often we've forgotten they're stories.
Change is inevitable. How we respond is a choice.
We can't control every circumstance. We can choose who we are within it.
Trust the step you're on.
You don't need the whole path before you're allowed to move.
Life is meant to be enJOYed.
Not someday. Not when everything finally goes according to plan. Now.

Off the Stage
A few things you should probably know.
I believe a little sass — and a lot of laughter — makes almost everything better.
Give me mountains, sunshine, and a really good conversation.
"What else is possible?" is one of my favorite questions.
I've held a lot of titles in my life. "Mama" will always be my favorite — although "Gramcracker" is giving it some serious competition.
And yes, I really do believe life is meant to be enJOYed.
So, what are you waiting for?
If there's something you've been saving for someday — a conversation, a change, a next step, an idea you can't quite shake — maybe this is your reminder.
Someday is not a direction. Let's see what's possible.
